CROSSROADS DOCUMENTS

This page is our attempt to catalogue various documents about the 2001 series of Crossroads from Carlton Television. The files are in pdf format – unless stated otherwise.

August 2000 – ITV announce they are to commission not one but two new soaps for their daytime schedule.

“Crossroads” and “Trafalgar Road” which ultimately became “Night and Day” were both intended for very different audiences.

Crossroads was to be the “centerpiece” to the daytime schedule, in perhaps the same way that “Doctors” has worked for the BBC, while Trafalgar Road was to become the teatime replacement for Home and Away.

It features a  who’s who of the cast, and quotes from the production team including:

“You thought the last series was good? You ain’t seen nothing yet!” (Costume Designer, Eileen Hubble and Make-up Supervisor, Dorinda Lamb – who both worked on the original Crossroads)
