Crossroads 2003: The songs…

One of the most striking things about Crossroads in 2003 was its reliance on music – and in particular “karaoke”. The Friday edition of the show quite regularly featured one or more of the characters singing a song that in some way related to the events of the preceding week. In many ways this was a deliberate “nod” to the classic series of the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s, which would often feature songs sung by members of the cast.

“As Tears Go By”

Featured in Episode: 094 / 414

TX: (23/05/03)

Sung by: Two Hippies that happened to be sitting on a wall by Young Angel and Max

Not sung by the cast, but a well placed tune nevertheless – the end of the “flashback” week saw Young Ethan upset at losing Kate – and the death of his mother – and the fact that his dad was responsible for it. It really was no surprise that he turned out so mixed up! It was a shame that the continuity announcer decided to speak over the song at the end!
